A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by
adding thereto a new section, designated §9-2-6b, relating to
providing a $5000 salary increase to social workers employed
by the Department of Health and Human Resources.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia,1931, as amended, be amended
by adding thereto a new section, designated §9-2-6b, to read as
follows:
ARTICLE 2. COMMISSIONER OF HUMAN SERVICES; POWERS, DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES GENERALLY.
§9-2-6b. Social workers' salaries.
On July 1, 2010, any social worker, as defined in section two,
article thirty, chapter thirty of this code, who is employed by the
Department of Health and Human Resources shall receive a §5000
salary increase.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide a $5000 salary
increase to social workers employed by the Department of Health and
Human Resources.
§9-2-6b is new; therefore, it has been completely underscored.
